CASTRO DE COAÑA MUSEUM (HILL-FORT OF COAÑA MUSEUM)
Using exhibition panels, reproductions, pictures and materials brought from different Asturian castros, the visitor will be able to find out the evolution of this culture from its origins to the Roman invasion.
Besides, there is a section dealing with the gold mining industry and another one related directly to the castro of Coaña.
In the castro’s surrounding area it is found the Castro of Coaña Museum which collects information about the castro culture in the northwest of Spain, its evolution until the Roman invasion and broad information about gold mining.

PRIVATE COLLECTIONS
In Coaña there are two important private collections which can be seen if you arrange a visit in advance with their respective owners.
Typewriters collection:
This collection is located in the village of Coaña (in the parish of Coaña). It belongs to Mr. José Manuel Acevedo and it is made up mainly of typewriters which are over one century old. Besides, in the same collection you can also see several musical devices like phonographs, gramophones, jukeboxes, etc. This collection has an extraordinary historical value due to the variety of typewriters and musical devices and their excellent working condition.
Sewing Machines collection:
The sewing machines collection is located in the village of El Espín (in the parish of Folgueras). It is made up of 440 sewing machines and it belongs to Mr. Faustino González Rodríguez. All these pieces are catalogued and among them we can find a fine piece of museum that had belonged to Queen Elisabeth II.
